Gunhild Aaby holds a Cand philol degree in History (MA equivalent) and is head of education and cultural interaction at Vest-Agder Museum, which means she has the overall responsibility for education, exhibitions and audience activities in the museum. Through her long experience from museum work on a local, national and also international level as Norwegian national correspondent of ICOM/CECA, she has established a large network within the field of cultural heritage and the dissemination of cultural patrimony. Gunhild Aaby has participated in all the social role projects which Vest-Agder Museum has run over the last ten years, and contributed actively to project design, documentation as well as dissemination in all its varieties: written, in exhibitions, on the net, through the elaboration of educational programmes for schools, and through direct communication with various target groups.
